Terms of Service

These terms are between Mithos Limited, trading as Mithos (company number 17459676, registered office 9 Crake Valley Road, Harwell, Oxfordshire, OX11 6LS, United Kingdom) ("we", "us") and the business that creates an account ("you"). The person who accepts these terms confirms they have authority to bind that business. Our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum form part of these terms.

Mithos The Village is an online workspace for running a small business, shown as a 3D village. It includes a calendar view, a Simulator for cost and pricing what-ifs, a Research Centre for market research, and Cyber Security checks on your domains, along with any other features we add.

You must give accurate details and keep them up to date. Keep your password safe and don't share logins; each person should have their own account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away at info@mithos.co.uk if you think someone else has accessed it.

The service is for businesses. You must be 18 or over and using it for a business, not as a consumer.

When you connect a Microsoft or Google account, we only ask for read-only access to your calendar. You can disconnect at any time in the app, which deletes the stored connection. Your use of those accounts is also governed by Microsoft's or Google's own terms.

You must not:

• use the service for anything unlawful, harmful or fraudulent;
• probe, scan, test or attack the service, or try to get around its security or limits;
• scrape the service or access it by automated means except through features we provide;
• share your login or let anyone else use your account;
• use the Cyber Security checks on domains or companies you don't own or have permission to check;
• upload or enter other people's personal data unless you have a lawful basis to do so;
• resell or copy the service, or use it to build a competing product.

The data you enter or connect stays yours. You give us a licence to store, process and display it only so we can run and improve the service for you, and as described in our Privacy Policy. You can download or delete your data from your account page at any time.

We (or our licensors) own the service, including its software, design, the village and our brand. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for your business while your account is active. Any feedback you give us we may use freely.

Research briefs, digests, price checks, explanations and other AI-written content are guidance only. They are not financial, legal, tax, HR or employment advice. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important, using the sources we show, before you act on it, and take professional advice where needed.

Simulator and hiring figures are estimates based on what you enter and on the assumptions shown. They are only as good as your inputs.

The service shows information from third parties, such as public websites, Companies House and domain records. We don't control it, and it may be inaccurate or out of date. Links to other websites are for convenience only.

Pricing and payment terms will be added when paid plans launch. The service is currently free. We may change or end free access, but we will give you reasonable notice first.

We work to keep the service running well, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what you can do, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if your use puts the service or others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where reasonable we will warn you first. We may also end the service for everyone with at least 30 days' notice. When your account closes, your data is deleted as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Subject to that:

• we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for decisions you make based on content in the service;
• our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100 if you have paid nothing.

You agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims by third parties caused by your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms, including running Cyber Security checks without permission or entering personal data without a lawful basis.

We may update these terms. We will change the version number and date, tell you in advance of significant changes, and ask you to accept the new version in the app. If you don't agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account.

• Assignment: you may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them to a company that takes over our business.
• Entire agreement: these terms (with the documents they refer to) are the whole agreement between us about the service.
• Severability: if any part is found invalid, the rest still applies.
• No waiver: if we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• Third parties: no one else has any right to enforce these terms.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
